Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Embue (`networkembu.com`) and any subscription you take out. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them.
1. About us
Embue is operated by **EMBUE Group Limited**, registered in England and Wales (company number **15274202**), registered office **20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU**. We are not registered for VAT. Telephone 020 7117 2481. Contact: **hello@networkembu.com**.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be 18 or over to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Subscriptions, plans and pricing
Embue is a paid publication. Subscription plans and prices are shown on our Subscribe page in pounds sterling. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. We do not offer a free trial. Individual and **organisation (team) subscriptions** are available; organisation subscriptions license a number of seats to the organisation and are managed by an organisation administrator (see section 5). We may change prices, but a change will not affect a term you have already paid for; any new price applies only to renewals and we will tell you in the pre-renewal reminder before it takes effect.
4. Payment, automatic renewal and cancellation
Payment is taken via PayPal when you subscribe. Subscriptions are **continuous and renew automatically**: at the end of each term we take payment for a further term of the same length using your PayPal billing agreement, so your access continues without interruption, until you cancel. **Before each renewal we email you a reminder** stating the renewal date and the amount to be charged.
You can **cancel at any time** from your account or through PayPal. Cancelling **stops future renewals** — your access continues until the end of the term you have already paid for, and the remainder of that term is **not refunded**. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at **hello@networkembu.com** and we will review it.
If you are a **consumer**, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of your first purchase. Because a subscription gives immediate access to digital content, by subscribing you ask us to begin providing it at once and you acknowledge you lose the 14-day cancellation right once access begins, except as required by law. This statutory right does not apply to business customers.
5. Access to content and the paywall
Some content is free; most is available only to active subscribers. We enforce this on our servers — non-subscribers receive a preview only. For an individual subscription, access is personal to you: do not share your login. For an **organisation subscription**, access is licensed to the named seats the organisation assigns; each seat is for one named person and seats must not be shared beyond the assigned member. In all cases, do not systematically copy or redistribute our content.
6. Intellectual property
All content on Embue — articles, images, branding and design — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may read and reference content for your own professional use, but you may not republish, resell or scrape it without our written permission.
7. Acceptable use
Your use of the site is also governed by our Acceptable Use & Anti-Spam Policy. In short: lawful use only, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access, no automated harvesting of content.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw features. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.
9. Editorial content is not professional advice
Our content is journalism and general information about the care and health sector. It is not legal, financial, clinical or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Statutory rights of consumers are unaffected.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms; where you have paid for a term, we will act fairly and proportionately.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of **England and Wales**, and the courts of **England and Wales** have jurisdiction, without affecting consumers' statutory rights to bring proceedings locally.
